Rione Monti during the event
During the Race for the Cure weekend, footfall across central Rome increases significantly. Rione Monti is one of the most visited neighbourhoods — both by participants and spectators. Its location, right next to the Colosseum and easily reached via Cavour metro station (Line B), makes it one of the most convenient stops at any point during the day.
Where to eat after the race, in Rione Monti
The outdoor terrace of Suburra 1930 on Piazza della Suburra, Rione Monti — a short walk from the Race for the Cure route
After the run or the walk, Rione Monti is one of the most natural places to stop for a meal: it sits just steps from the Colosseum, Via dei Fori Imperiali and the race route, with a good range of restaurants in the heart of the historic centre.
One of the neighbourhood’s well-known spots is Suburra 1930, a restaurant and cocktail bar on Piazza della Suburra — a short walk from Cavour metro station. Traditional Roman food, an outdoor terrace on the square, open for lunch and dinner: a quiet stop after a busy morning.
