We went to watch the Italy match. The dinner was delicious. Great Roman dishes. So good that I would say the portions were a bit small. But everything was excellent. Well done, guys!

Found this place by chance, just a stone’s throw from the Colosseum. A pleasant surprise! The staff were very courteous, the place was clean, with the option to sit both inside and outside. The food was good and authentic. The trio of bruschetta, carbonara, and cacio e pepe were fantastic! Compliments to the chef. The tiramisu was very good. A great stop!
Highly recommended

A great find, a tucked-away spot that stands out from the more touristy restaurants. Friendly staff, truly excellent food, well worth it. Plenty of options for vegetarians.
Monica Ricciardi
Carefully prepared dishes, a welcoming and pleasantly sophisticated atmosphere, friendliness and kindness, excellent, high-quality food! Thank you, we’ll definitely come again!

Excellent cuisine and drinks… highly recommended. Try the Basilico cocktail, a fresh gin-based drink, and don’t miss the desserts at the end of your meal. Kudos to the chef and the bartender.
Gianluca Lamanna
Beautiful venue, very kind and accommodating staff and owners. We had a great meal and will definitely return.

Dinner for two. Excellent welcome, great descriptions of the dishes, and, most importantly, the dishes themselves! The venue is simply very cool, with every detail carefully attended to, from the kitchen to the bar to the bathroom! Unique location! Fair price. I recommend it!

Magical atmosphere just 5 steps from the Colosseum, intimate, clean, and modern. Very kind and knowledgeable staff. The menu offers a wide selection; we tried both typical Roman dishes and those from other regions and were pleasantly surprised. Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to take photos of the beautiful dishes as we devoured them immediately!

Wonderful evening with friends, excellent dinner, both meat and fish. The mixed fried platter was superb. Great wine selection, very attentive service with exceptional customer care. Kudos to the chef for the menu.

Everything was delicious… we had to wait a bit for the eggplant parmesan, but it was definitely worth it. The rabbit and chicken were truly excellent… it was impossible not to mop up the sauce! Top-notch staff… Luca recommended a great amaro and even offered it to us! When we return to Rome, we will definitely come back here too! Thank you very much.

A very elegant venue with a 1930s style, with meticulous attention to detail throughout, from the dining areas to the bathrooms. The food is truly excellent, with menu options catering to both refined and simpler tastes. Highly recommended are the chickpea hummus, the pulled pork, and the refreshingly fresh Basilico cocktail! I particularly appreciated the background music, which matched the venue’s style perfectly. The service is impeccable, and the customer care is delightful. The ambiance is well-maintained, just as shown in the photos.

Great lunch
We had a great lunch, super place, owner very helpful to give the 11 of us a comfortable seat. We enjoyed the food, prosecco, wine and beers. Fried artichoke phantastic.

Excellent food, friendly service, good value.
Back to Suburra 1930 for another delicious dinner. Excellent food and wine, friendly and efficient service (thank you Sylvia and Luca), stylish decor – and really great value. We had the special starter (Gran Fritto Suburra) followed by a wonderful pasta dish (Maccheroncini all’Amatriciana). So filling, we had no room for a main course but did manage to squeeze in a lovely pudding (Tiramisu).

Cosy friendly gem in beautiful location.
Lovely warm welcome on a busy rainy Saturday night in Rome ( we had a reservation as there were 6 of us). Cosy and romantic. Started with excellent Prosecco and mixed tempura vegetables, bruschetta which were delicious. The pasta dishes were tasty and plentiful .Nice piece of succulent fish. I had no room for desert but tiramisu was enjoyed by the rest of my party. Sylvia looked after us very well.

Don’t miss this hidden gem!!!
Delicious food, great service!!! Just amazing!! We had Basílico cocktail-so fresh and delicious! We had olive meatballs, tender with great crust. Cacia y peppi was fantastic and sea bass was tender and filleted with zero bones—well done chef!!! Great place definitely go, and only 5 minute walk to Colosseum!!

Local cuisine and cozy ambiance
Local, non-touristy restaurant despite its proximity to an iconic site like the Colosseum (5min walk). Very good food, wide variety of dishes and very welcoming staff. I have loved the amatriciana pasta! We have returned twice and have not regretted it.

Excellent food and drink in Piazza Subarra in heart of historic Rome
Quiet bar/restaurant in Piazza Suburra, friendly and attentive staff, nice home cooked food, we tried 2 different types of gnocchi which were excellent, and lovely tirimasu. The Basicila cocktail was a highlight too !
